What if all my pots are ceramic.

I have a medium size garden. Both veg and flowers. I have tried and tried zinnias, but I can’t seem to grow them. So disappointing. Sierras at 4000 ft. I just don’t get it😢

It is hard to not keep buying plants. The thing is there are a lot of us like it so I at least don't feel bad for sneaking them into the garden.

We love our big leaf magnolias here on the BC coast. They are a sight to behold! They can take a fair amount of sun here. I lost my first one to deer. Second tree is doing well now. The large ones in Victoria area get those floppy huge flowers. Pretty cool.👍💖

I had done such a good job of whittling down the plant stash to only 2 or 3....now it's bigger than ever. 🤷🏼‍♀️(Interesting acquisitions! And Stephany, consider wearing camo and holding the plant in front of your face for enhanced sneaking! 😂)

Very funny. I understand completely. I have plants in containers on my condominium roof deck. I am trying to follow the rule I overheard years ago (man reminding his wife of the “ one in, one out” rule concerning cookbooks.). So I try to follow it for plants. Not completely successful but it’s a goal. Ha. Chant “one in, one out”.

Interesting that I noticed this year that my Big Daddy hydrangea has been visited by bees! They can dig through the fluffy parts and find the pollen producing tiny flowers!

I’d like to add some solidago to my garden but I was wondering if they tend to be deer resistant? I finally got rid of my Indian hawthorns that they’d eat to nubs every year. Trying to add in stuff they don’t like. Although, I thought they’d leave me sedum alone but alas they have found it. Or it could be rabbits enjoying the sedum.
